I've had two of these drives, in different computers (one laptop, one desktop), and they've both failed within two or three weeks. Google "intel 320 ssd 8mb" and if that doesn't stop you from buying one.... good luck.

Stay away from this SSD. I bought this because I thought Intel is good with the CPUs, so, they should be good with SSD HDD too. I was wrong and 100% wrong. The first time this SSD failed just about 2-month. My laptop went sleep mode and SSD never woke up again. It was a nightmare, nearly 2-months of my data was lost. However, the tech sup said that it is their policy to wipe the all returned SSD data out.

I am using this SSD Dell E6500 laptop that came with 128 Samsung SSD, I never had a problem at with my Samsung SSD - But I needed a more space and I thought I give a try Intel's SSD. Bad-Bad idea - One day I came back to my desk and found black screen with "No hard drive was found"

Anyway, it took to me another month+ to find a time to return that SSD drive, and by then Intel announced a new firmware that supposed to fix the... Read more
